Çeliksan Plastik has been manufacturing plastic packaging in İkitelli, Istanbul since 1995. It needed a site in four languages where domestic and international buyers could easily find products, and that also told the story of its environmentally conscious production.
Çeliksan serves a wide range of industries, from textiles and municipalities to supermarket chains and automotive suppliers, with a broad product line spanning shopping bags, food packaging, cleaning product packaging and shrink film.
All these different products had to be presented clearly, in one place, to buyers from different industries and countries. Every buyer needed to see the material, printing options and dimensions of the product they were looking for at a glance.
We grouped the products under four main headings, the way a purchasing manager would search for them: shopping and carrier bags, food packaging, cleaning packaging and shrink films. Each product got its own page, with technical information laid out the same way on every page.
We built the catalog on WooCommerce but kept the sales features switched off. This lets the Çeliksan team add new products and update existing ones from their own dashboard.
The site’s visual language was set by the company’s own motto: “We produce while protecting the green, for a more beautiful world.” With shades of green, nature imagery and clean typography, we set out to present an industrial product in a warmer way. Because of the company’s export goals, we built the site in Turkish, English, Spanish and German.
