Since 1992, Bostancı Gösteri Merkezi has been one of the best-known stages on Istanbul’s Asian side, hosting hundreds of events from concerts and stand-up to theatre and musicals. It needed a site where audiences could find the next event and get tickets, and where organizers could hire the venue.
Two different people visit BGM’s site. One is the audience member wondering which concerts are on this month and wanting to buy a ticket; the other is the organizer looking for a 2,370-seat hall for a launch, gala or concert.
For the audience, an event is more than a poster, a date and a ticket link; they want to know the seating plan, age limit and venue rules in advance. Organizers, meanwhile, won’t decide without seeing the hall’s technical capabilities, sound and lighting, security and foyer options.
We built the site around two main doors: events and venue hire. The home page opens with a featured event and “Buy tickets now”; right below, venue hire services are listed under their own headings.
Events are divided into concerts, stand-up, shows, theatre and musicals; the calendar page lists them all by date. Every event page has a zoomable seating plan, event rules and share buttons; from there, the audience is directed to the ticketing site. Event pages are also marked up as events for search engines.
On the venue hire side, hall rental, sound and lighting, stage, security, foyer and stands, and sponsorship are each explained under separate headings; organizers can request information with a single click. The FAQ page answers questions about transport, tickets and the box office.
In the visual language, we captured the energy of the stage with a black background and BGM orange; event posters and concert photos sit at the heart of the site. The newsletter form works together with commercial messaging and KVKK (data protection) consents.
